The Hermanus Initiation Forum will hold an information session about the upcoming summer initiation season on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, at 18:00 at the Ethiopian Church in Zwelihle.

Overstrand Municipality has a long-standing arrangement with the Forum for the use of designated areas on the municipal farm in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley for initiation practices.

Overstrand Fire Services and other relevant municipal departments will work closely with the Hermanus Initiation Forum to promote fire safety and ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements throughout the season.
